Back in 2002, Rue Morgue had placed an ad for the then upcoming Book of the Dead edition of The Evil Dead. The release was originally going to feature a copy of Within the Woods, which had never been officially released before. The news had fans excited and anticipating the release until they pulled the plug the last second. It was pulled so late prior to release, that a screen describing the added in feature was still available to find on the finished product. Fans speculated as to the reason why, many with conflicting arguments that are still brought up to this day.

It’s a shame, this would have been awesome.
